Description
A company in the Burbank area is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk with strong experience in QuickBooks to join the team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, the timely collection of receivables, and effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and thrives in both independent and collaborative work settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Process, track, and record all incoming payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Invoice Generation and Distribution: Create and send invoices via QuickBooks and other operational platforms.
Payment Monitoring: Monitor accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
Dispute Resolution: Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies or payment issues efficiently.
Customer Communication: Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients regarding their account statuses, payment plans, and due invoices.
QuickBooks Oversight: Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounts, reconcile payments, and generate reports.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including archiving historical accounts receivable data.
Reporting: Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on accounts receivable performance and aging reports for internal review.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of accounts receivable experience; QuickBooks proficiency required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions effectively.
Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
