Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team within the finance industry, handling a wide range of tasks from customer payment processing to account reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer payments, ensuring promptness and precision. • Monitor customer accounts and manage the Accounts Receivable Aging process. • Research and reconcile cash application related variances in line with established policies. • Resolve payment escalation and discrepancy inquiries from internal teams. • Verify duplicate payments and coordinate with customers for issuing refunds. • Maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures, including those pertaining to credit card processing. • Manage the end-to-end payment process from presentment to settlement, including handling declined transactions, disputes, refunds, and chargeback research. • Ensure timely customer payments by keeping outstanding collections up to date. • Utilize available tools to optimize Cash Applications, Collections, and other Accounts Receivable processes. • Participate in special Cash Application and Collection related projects, including providing support to external auditors. • Reconcile general ledger cash accounts to bank statements. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory • Practical experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required • Demonstrated expertise in Billing procedures • Capability in handling Cash Applications is essential • Prior experience in Cash Collections is beneficial • Knowledge of Commercial Collections is expected • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary • Familiarity with Oracle software is an advantage • Experience with QuickBooks is desirable • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
