Description An educational non-profit organization in the Downtown Area is in need of temporary assistance in Accounts Receivable Department! The position is remote. The Accounts Receivable Specialist would be responsible for the following duties: · Posting payments to customer accounts using Oracle · Maintain cash receipt spreadsheet on a daily basis and then importing the information into their Accounting Database · Prepare bank deposits for cash and scan checks · Code payments to intercompany accounts · Review insurance websites and run reports to determine payment amounts · Allocate large check payments over multiple invoices and accounts · Resolve and research any discrepancies between what was paid and what was owed · Run credit card payments as needed using an online terminal · Post-self-pays and private insurance payments · Run monthly statements and review for accuracy · Assist with the creation and review of the aging analysis report · Follow up and attempt to correct denials The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 10am-7pm with some flexiablity. Requirements • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role. • Proficiency in Oracle is a PLUS. • Advanced skills in Excel including familiarity with vlookups and pivot tables. • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
