Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles.

ResponsibilitiesProcess and post customer payments accurately and efficiently (e.g., checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards).Generate and distribute invoices to customers.Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and identify delinquent accounts.Contact customers regarding past-due balances and negotiate payment plans.Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the accounting system.Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including A/R Aging Summary.Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve customer billing issues.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.Implement and maintain effective collection procedures and policies.Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments in a timely and professional manner.Assist with audits related to accounts receivable.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented and accurate with a strong focus on data integrity.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsQuickBooks experienceWork Environment

The position will be at their corporate office in Auburn Hills, MI. The typical office environment includes cubicles, dual computer monitors, and conference rooms. Additionally, there is an auto body shop garage attached to the building for technicians to diagnose various claims and repairs. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
