How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

As an accounts receivable analyst, your job is to help a company manage its billing and debt collection processes.
 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

Process daily cash application Generate customer invoices and credit memos (in SAP ) Mail invoices Charge customer credit cards Perform analysis of aging receivables in Excel to prioritize past due balances Resolve customer disputes on invoices Prepare, record, verify and analyze various accounting and receivable transactions Maintain and reconcile the accounts receivable subledger accounts while ensuring that necessary controls, policies and procedures are followed Expected to support various functions of the accounting/finance department such as SOX testing, journal entries and account reconciliations Drive continuous improvement within the accounting/finance department by looking for efficiencies and process improvements

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

Three to five years related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal skills; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software, Microsoft Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables) and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of SAP preferred.
