Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in San Luis Obispo, California. This role primarily involves the management and processing of customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries within a busy, data-focused environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required • Manage a large volume of data entry tasks • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline work processes • Work towards the goal of transitioning the AP department to a more paperless system • Handle 1099 forms for year-end processing • Process a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis • Issue expense checks to employees every pay period. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required. • Experience with Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary. • Knowledge of Concur is expected. • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is mandatory. • Understanding of Accrual Accounting is crucial. • Auditing experience is a prerequisite. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is required.
