Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with other team members in a collaborative environment.
ResponsibilitiesReview and match supplier invoices to authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receiptTake all economical early payment discountsObtain payment approvals for non-cost of goods sold invoicesEnter all supplier invoices into the payables softwareIssue notices to suppliers regarding rejected invoice line itemsProcess expense reportsProcess procurement card paymentsNotify managers when budgeted expenditure levels have been exceededIssue stop payments and void checksIssue reminders to suppliers regarding uncashed checksPay supplier invoices when due, including ACH payments, check payments, petty cash payments, and wire transfersIncorporate all applicable supplier credits into payments madeResearch supplier requests for paymentProcess value-added tax reclamationsMonitor supplier W-9 form submissionsIssue positive pay data to the bankUpdate the supplier master fileReconcile accounts payable to the general ledgerEssential Skills3+ years of Accounts Payable experienceExperience in a manufacturing, distribution, or supplier industryUnderstanding of Cost of Goods SoldExperience with invoice transactions and purchase order processesProficiency in Sage softwareAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates Degree preferredExperience from a services company is a plusWork Environment
This is an in-office position, working closely with the controller, accountant, and accounting admin. The office space is collaborative, and team members work closely together, maintaining good conversation while getting the work done. The company recently built a new office building and is anticipating significant growth in the coming years, providing an exciting and dynamic work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $56000.00/yr.
