Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Santa Barbara, California. The role primarily involves managing vendor inquiries, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate payment records. The specialist will be part of a vibrant team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced industry. Responsibilities: • Address vendor inquiries and direct them to the relevant department personnel when required. • Manage the digitization and entry of invoices into the computer system. • Oversee the preparation of accounts payable checks, which includes processing check request and payment approval forms, data entry, and check printing. • Execute product invoice processing using a 3-way match system and communicate any discrepancies with department personnel. • Generate all accounts payable reports and upkeep all accounts payable files. • Aid in monthly closings by managing A/P logs. • Participate in the annual financial audit process. • Adhere to federal and state safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures. • Execute other duties as delegated or required. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist. • Must be adept at using Accounting Software Systems. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a requirement for this job. • Knowledge of Concur software is necessary. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is mandatory. • Must have a strong understanding of Accrual Accounting principles. • Auditing skills are crucial for this role. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is a requirement for this position.
