Description Our client is looking for an AP analyst to join their growing team in the Galleria area. This role is 100% onsite and will be a contract to hire position. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain and update vendor data regularly • Supervise tasks assigned to the offshore accounting team concerning accounts payable • Resolve invoice discrepancies through thorough research • Issue 1099's to vendors and file reports with the IRS • Ensure high accuracy in coding including appropriate authorizations • Communicate effectively with both outside vendors and internal customers to answer questions and inquiries • Reconcile the accounts payable aging and other assigned accounts to the general ledger • Assist with special projects and research as requested • Monitor local check requests and assist with PCard requests. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory for this role. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to manage financial data and create reports is required. • Prior experience in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards is essential. • A strong understanding of the credit agency business industry is expected. • Excellent numerical proficiency and attention to detail are integral to this role. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is necessary. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members. • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. • Familiarity with accounting software and databases is beneficial.
