Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the steel manufacturing industry located in BOURBONNAIS, Illinois. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Your primary duties will include processing financial documents, managing accounting functions, and maintaining detailed records. Responsibilities: • Managing the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications • Maintaining precise customer credit records to ensure up-to-date account statuses • Resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner • Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action as per the company's policies • Assisting in the execution of account coding and journal entries • Utilizing accounting software systems, particularly Oracle, for various accounting functions • Assisting in the preparation of general ledger and month-end close procedures • Conducting additional tasks related to Accounts Payable as required. The salary range for this position is $22 to $25/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for this role. • Must be adept at using Accounting Software Systems. • Ability to effectively perform various Accounting Functions. • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required. • Knowledge and experience using Oracle is beneficial. • Capable of accurately preparing and managing Journal Entries. • Understanding and experience in managing General Ledger. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is a must.
