Accounts Payable Specialist

JSG is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in San Jose. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and handling AP-related inquiries with a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices accurately and in accordance with AP policies and procedures. Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues. Respond to AP-related inquiries from vendors and employees in a professional and timely manner. Process and review credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and proper coding. Maintain organized records by filing and archiving backup documentation. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient AP processes. Provide support to accountants and assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed. Adapt to changing department needs and take on various tasks as required. Qualifications: Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including government accounting. Experience working with ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A proactive team player who is eager to learn and flexible in handling various responsibilities. Strong customer service skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. Requirements: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by twelve (12) semester units of college-level coursework in accounting, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in processing and maintaining accounting records in accounts payable, payroll, or general ledger support. Valid California driver’s license. Rate: $35.78 full-time 6 month contract
