Description We are looking for an accomplished Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Southlake, Texas. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be crucial in managing invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements, maintaining compliance, and improving processes. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Review and process invoices ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and approvals. • Efficiently enter invoices into the accounting system. • Prepare and schedule electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers. • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies. • Assist in the preparation of AP-related journal entries and reports during month-end and year-end close processes. • Reconcile vendor statements and manage outstanding balances. • Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations. • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, resolving issues related to payments or invoicing promptly. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve AP processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is a must. • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary. • Knowledge of Concur is preferred. • Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Capable of performing all Accounting Functions. • Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP). • Understanding of Accrual Accounting practices. • Experience in Auditing is required. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes.
