Job Description

Our Dynamic Accounting team in Tallinn is looking for a new team member to come on board as Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an awesome opportunity for someone who is passionate about numbers, enjoys taking ownership of their tasks and wants to work in a fast-growing, international and fun environment. 

Accounts Payable team in Wise is responsible for: processing employee expense reports, credit card reports and vendor invoices; vendor master data (incl verification) and approval policies;  co-owning the system improvements together with the Finance Internal Systems team.

Your mission:

Review and process vendor invoices, credit card reports, and employee expense reports in line with our policies and procedures.

Investigate and resolve queries related to invoice or expense processing.

Verify vendor data and bank details to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Manage and implement changes to the approval matrix across all entities according to company policies.

Assist in regular review and reconciliation of outstanding Accounts Payable balances.

Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.

Contribute to the improvement of our invoice and expense processes.

Participate in projects aimed at enhancing accounting processes and internal controls.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

A solid understanding of core accounting principles; a qualification in accounting is advantageous.

Experience in accounts payable, although not essential, is preferred.

A positive, cooperative attitude with a hands-on and independent approach to work.

Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
