Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Kenilworth, New Jersey. In this role, you will manage essential accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling invoices and financial records. This is a great opportunity for a meticulous individual to contribute to a fast-paced service industry environment. Responsibilities: • Process and manage 75 to 100+ invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Perform matching and coding of invoices to appropriate accounts. • Handle purchase orders and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping. • Accurately code transactions to the general ledger (GL) while maintaining compliance with company policies. • Assist with billing activities and provide backup support for accounts receivable tasks. • Utilize accounting software to streamline and manage financial processes efficiently. • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve payment-related inquiries. • Leverage familiarity with Davisware software, if applicable, to support accounts payable processes. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role. • Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and purchase order management. • Strong knowledge of general ledger coding and accrual accounting principles. • Familiarity with accounting software systems; experience with Davisware is a plus. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of invoices. • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors. • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
