Accounts Payable Specialist
Description A reputable construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payables, vendor compliance, and job cost accounting. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in construction or contracting and be proficient in Sage 300. Key Responsibilities: + Upload and process AP invoice files + Generate and process AP checks; mail checks promptly + Scan and upload checks/invoices upon payment + Reconcile WIP (Work-In-Progress) to the general ledger on a weekly basis + Maintain and update WIP files for active projects + Manage and track vendor insurance to policy requirements + Collect, track, and maintain W-9s from vendors + Assist with year-end 1099 processing + Collaborate with project managers to ensure job costing accuracy Requirements Required Experience & Skills: + Prior experience in construction or contracting industries + Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience + Proficient in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate + Strong knowledge of job costing + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, and Word + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
