Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in DeSoto, Texas. The role is centered around managing and processing customer invoices and payments, maintaining an efficient record system, and ensuring effective communication with vendors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at handling multiple tasks concurrently. Key Responsibilities: • Efficiently process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and consistency • Conduct 3-way matching on invoices while reviewing statements for discrepancies • Maintain accurate applications of vendor invoices • Ensure effective communication with vendors to discuss and resolve any payment issues • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals • Facilitate end-of-month, quarter, and year duties effectively • Handle administrative tasks such as generating EFTs and processing checks • Conduct data entry tasks in accordance with established protocols • Manage vendor inquiries regarding payments effectively • Contribute towards issue resolution and conflict management within the department. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices • Strong Data Entry skills • Proficient in Invoice Processing • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Ability to Maintain Vendor Files effectively • Familiarity with 3 Way Matching process • Knowledge of Sage Intacct software • Experience with a Major ERP System • Ability to Perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently • Experience in Processing Check Requests • Knowledge of EFT - Electronic Funds Transfer • Ability to handle Vendor Inquiries professionally and promptly • Proven ability to Research Discrepancies in financial records efficiently and effectively Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
