Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist 2 manages and processes invoices, ensures timely and accurate vendor payments, reconciles statements, and maintains proper documentation. As a shared services role, this position supports multiple sites, requiring strong collaboration and adaptability. It demands a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers growth potential, providing opportunities to take on expanded responsibilities and advance within the organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Processes and reviews a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely payments.Verifies invoice discrepancies and resolves issues with vendors and internal departments.Reconciles vendor statements and addresses any outstanding balances or discrepancies.Prepares and processes electronic transfers, payments, and check runs.Maintains and updates vendor records in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assists with month-end closing procedures, including reconciling the accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.Prepares and provides analysis for accounts payable aging reports and other financial reports as needed.Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and provides exceptional customer service.Supports the Controller with process improvement initiatives and special projects.Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Experience with process improvement initiatives is a plus.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.Experience supporting multi-site operations in a shared services environment is preferred.Experience with ERP systems or large-scale accounts payable functions is preferred.

Level of Education:
