Accounts Payable Clerk
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Riviera Beach, Florida, United States. The chosen candidate will be joining our team to help clear up our accounts payable backlog due to unforeseen circumstances. This role is critical in our finance sector, requiring skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: • Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function to ensure all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with established procedures • Carry out credit card reconciliations on a regular basis • Accurately match invoices to corresponding purchase orders and/or vouchers • Efficiently handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable • Manage and resolve aging accounts payable issues in a timely manner • Regularly monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required. Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar finance position • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles • Proficiency in English and in office software, particularly Excel • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to process and manage large volumes of data • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality • Knowledge of general accounting procedures • Proficiency in managing transactions and the payment cycle activities under minimal supervision • Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams • Familiarity with Accounts Payable software, databases and systems • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment • Ability to identify discrepancies or issues promptly and resolve them efficiently • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
