Description We are in the pursuit of a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to be a part of our team in the HOMER, Michigan territory. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary role will revolve around the administration of accounts payable, processing and reviewing invoices, managing data entry tasks, and addressing invoice discrepancies. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Review and process invoices with precision and speed • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in invoices • Handle data entry tasks, specifically entering invoices into the system • Code invoices accurately to ensure correct allocation • Keep a record of all accounting entries for future reference • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks • Provide assistance to the retail operation as needed • Manage the department's inbox efficiently and promptly respond to inquiries • Answer inbound phone calls and provide necessary assistance • Organize and file documentation systematically. Requirements • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position • Retail or Convenience store - Field Services industry • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and processes • Demonstrated ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently • Experience in performing data entry tasks with high attention to detail • Ability to enter invoices into the system accurately and promptly • Proven skills in identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies • Experience in invoice processing and review for accuracy and compliance • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and computations • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for detail-oriented communication and scheduling • Experience in retail operation will be considered an asset • Ability to record accounting entries accurately and in a timely manner Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
