Type: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $19.47 - $27.25 (Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Part-time, Tuesday – Thursday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is an in office only position.)

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll… The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department, in a fast-paced, changing environment. Will perform multiple daily accounts payable tasks: to include high volume data entry processing for supplier invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements. Coordinate with Accounts Payable Supervisor to complete weekly check run; ensuring that supplier invoices are organized, verify the accuracy of invoice data entry and supplier mailing address. Verify supplier accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Maintain supplier relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Accounts Payable high volume data entry, filing, and scanning.

Record self-assessed sales taxes by calculating requirements on reportable transactions at entry point.

Coordinate with Accounts Payable Supervisor to complete weekly check run; ensuring that supplier invoices are organized, verify the accuracy of invoice data entry and supplier mailing address.

Review and reconcile supplier accounts to include corresponding with suppliers and following through with inquiries.

Review and distribute daily mail

Maintain finance operating practices with record keeping systems, forms control, file requirements, creating new files and processing files.

Assist with annual disposal of records dated past record retention date.

Assist with maintaining supplier master records in enterprise resource planning system

Assist in month end closing.

Demonstrate ability to operate office machines, such as computer, multi-purpose copiers, 10 key.

Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to organize and prioritize work based on business needs and competing timelines

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Skookum Accounts Payable Clerk

High School Degree or GED required

0 – 3 years of previous experience in Accounting/Finance

A valid state driver’s license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
