Summary: This is an exciting contract opportunity offering the chance to gain valuable experience in accounts payable, with the possibility to expand your professional network and skill set. No prior accounts payable experience is required, though familiarity with accounting environments and general accounting concepts and procedures is helpful and preferred.
Salary Range: $19 - $23 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Sort mail – scan and route invoices to AP team members
+ Calling vendors for various items
+ Researching and reconciling vendor statement items
+ Assisting with verifying items on weekly AP payment runs
+ Back up the front desk for lunch breaks
+ Other administrative/accounting-related support tasks as needed
+ Relationships:
+ Maintains positive relationships with department, field personnel, and customers
+ Be a team player supporting the accounting team and all internal customers
Relationships:
+ Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the JH Kelly operating groups and teams, including shop and field craft personnel.
+ Foster positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, IT, and all project teams.
Experience / Qualifications:
+ Prior experience working in an office administrative environment at any level
+ Proficiency working with Excel (data entry) and Outlook email required
+ Familiarity with general accounting concepts and procedures is helpful
Necessary Skills:
+ Must be highly trainable and open-minded
+ Have excellent communication skills
+ Strong data entry accuracy
+ Demonstrated high attention to detail
+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
