Accounts Payable Analyst

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Analyst in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will be utilizing your skills in accounting and financial analysis in the industry, focusing on accounts payable activities such as processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications.
• Maintain and update customer credit records with precision.
• Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and issues, providing timely resolution.
• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary.
• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports following accounting principles.
• Submit and receive new vendor package documents, resolve any missing data, and set up new vendors in the system after verification.
• Handle vendor payments, including obtaining invoices, matching invoices to related purchase orders, and managing wire payments and ACH payments.
• Review aged accounts payable and prepare a list of invoices to be paid in the next upcoming check run.
• Reconcile corporate card expenses and manage related processes in the system.
• Prepare monthly or quarterly reconciliation of all outstanding intercompany payables.
• Determine and evaluate proper general ledger accounts and cost centers/departments to be used for various costs.
• Understand the purpose of each responsibility, identify risks and deviations, and discuss potential solutions.
• Strive to create efficiencies through the use of various software systems and tools. Requirements • Minimum of three years experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Account Coding
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Knowledge of Concur software is preferred
• Strong data processing skills
• Familiarity with general accounting functions
• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
• Experience in auditing
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
