Accounts Assistant

In partnership with our client Sedgwick Ireland is seeking an accounts assistant for an immediate start.Contract length: six monthsLocation: Dublin 1, hybrid working model.

The role:Assist the Finance and Investment Team in delivering on a timely basis the financial reporting outputs, including monthly management information, monthly accounting and monitoring of expenses and ownership of various accounting cycles that deliver accounting data.Preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting data in accordance with tight deadlines, including developing comprehensive understanding with accounting cycle owners of the detail behind the figures being reported.Processing and payment of invoices to suppliersBank Accounts ReconciliationGeneral ledger postings and general ledger reconciliationsMaintenance of process documentation by documentation standards.Generation and verification of KPI type reports for senior managementProvide support and cover as necessary for other team colleagues.Contributing to companywide projects to ensure delivery on strategic objectives of both the company and the insurance group.Support to up-line in relation to planning the immediate needs within team and assisting ad-hoc tasks as and when they arise.Other activities, permanent or temporary, as delegated by the up-line.The Candidate1-3 years experience in a similar role where the tasks undertaken relate to Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger Postings, General Ledger Reconciliations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and accounting software such as SAGE/ORACLE/SUN, or similar softwareKnowledge of the Italian language is not essential but advantageous.
