Summary This position is being advertised concurrently under delegated examining procedures under announcement number DE-25-12603538-CAWY-BK which is open to all U.S. Citizens and applies Competitive Examining procedures. This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Osage Agency in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring all volumes, verification and correction of oil, gas and other minerals are accurately reported and value is obtained in accordance with Federal Regulations. Calculates and verifies that all royalty has been properly accounted for and collected. Serves as the primary contact with oil/gas and other minerals lessee by providing and obtaining information for purpose of correcting reporting errors, assisting in instruction changes and interpreting regulations. Establishes proper amounts of royalty owed from sales and other disposition of minerals. Records, reports and maintains such information in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and generally accepted accounting procedures. Prepares and submits recommendations to the Superintendent for corrective actions. Prepares monthly production report of quantities of oil/gas produced and royalties received from each purchaser. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0525). GS-5: I have at least one year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). including examining, verifying, and maintenance of accounts and accounting data based on knowledge of standard accounting codes, classifications, and terminology; OR Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the position to be filled. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
