Summary


The Accounting/Reporting Assistant reports to the Accounting/Reporting Manager and provides support in all areas of financial management including budget reviews, audits, general accounting, controlling, tracking, and reporting of costs. This job also provides support to the other staff in the areas of accounting and financial reporting.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


•   Reviews and approves project budgets and client work authorizations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
•   Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records for audits
•   Monthly billing upload, verification/validation, invoice preparation and transmission
•   Preparation of monthly and ad hoc journal entries
•   Project close analysis and reconciliation
•   Monthly financial statements and reconciliations (balance sheet, profit and loss, etc.)
•   Provide additional support to ARMs/Operations team for data entry and ad hoc requests
•   Other tasks and duties, as required
 

Knowledge & Skills


•   1-3 years job related experience
•   Undergraduate university degree or community college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or 

Business Administration


•   High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
•   Exceptional attention to detail
•   Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•   Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•   Adept at data analysis and interpretation
 

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation


•   Working towards Professional Designation of CPA would be desirable
