We are in the process of expanding Deloitte’s Accounting and Reporting Advisory practice within the IPO/ SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Company) readiness service offering. Preparing for an IPO/ SPAC can be a complex and time-consuming process and companies must address financial reporting, accounting, and auditing considerations to prepare a registration statement and ultimately go public. A target company in a SPAC merger will need to prepare itself for being a public company normally within a few months, which is a shorter timeline compared to a traditional IPO for substantially the same preparation, due diligence, prospectus-drafting and SEC engagement and oversight. Public company readiness for both an IPO or a SPAC should cover cross-functional topics such as: accounting and financial reporting, finance effectiveness, financial planning and analysis, tax matters, internal controls and internal audit, human resources and compensation, treasury, enterprise risk management, technology and cybersecurity.
Are you a detail-oriented, inquisitive individual who enjoys coming up with solutions to client issues? We are seeking professionals who want to build off their existing audit knowledge or accounting experience and use such knowledge on exciting advisory projects that add great value to our clients within their finance, accounting, and operational departments. From technical accounting issues, to new standard implementations; from complex transaction support to internal controls, the leaders of our practice will help you in expanding your experience base to further develop your career.
