Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources/Accounting Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position requires expertise in both accounting and human resources functions, ensuring the smooth operation of payroll, compliance, and employee relations.
ResponsibilitiesManage front-end and back-end payroll processes.Handle certified payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Apply GAAP accounting principles in daily tasks.Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable (AP).Maintain general ledger (GL) accruals.Conduct accounts receivable (AR) tasks, including credit analysis and processing of lien releases.Utilize ERP systems, specifically Jonas Construction, eMobile for service side, and field time for construction side.Ensure compliance with labor codes and manage time and attendance records.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.Write and manage employee performance reviews and track all training activities.Foster positive employee relations and address any issues that arise.Handle onboarding and offboarding documentation for all employees.Essential SkillsProven experience in both accounting and human resources roles.Strong knowledge of payroll processes and certified payroll requirements.Familiarity with GAAP accounting standards.Experience with ERP systems, particularly Jonas Construction.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven experience in both accounting and human resources roles.Strong knowledge of payroll processes and certified payroll requirements.Familiarity with GAAP accounting standards.Experience with ERP systems, particularly Jonas Construction.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Work Environment
Standard office environment. Hours: 40 hours, 7:30-4:30pm or 8am-5pm. You will report to the HR Manager and Accounting Manager. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
