This is an exempt level position. 
 
Position Summary:
The General accounting Record to Report (R2R) team is responsible for performing manufacturing allocations and costs, inventory that is valued at cost or LOCNV and administrative costs for the North American processing facilities. This includes P&L responsibility for ADM’s businesses that are driven primarily by cost accounting.  

 Job Responsibilities:Design, supervise, and/or complete duties that may include performing month-end close and reporting the results of plants, location operation statements, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of accruals/deferrals/amortizations.Partnership with business units to prepare and report KPIs.Oversee monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysisComplete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controlsWork with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial resultsAnalyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules and communicate results to business unitsPerform quarterly analysis and reportingCollaborate with other leaders to identify and implement best practices across assigned Center of ExcellenceResponsible for the services provided to customers and to remediate all issues in a productive mannerMonitor inventory exceptions reported monthly from book to physical inventory reconciliations and ensure proper follow up is being completed for outstanding itemsSupport the training and development of Accounting StaffEnsure appropriate technical access for staff and ensure internal controls are followedCoordinate and respond to audit requestsJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting7+ years of accounting experiencePrior supervisory experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAnalytical skills, critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile anomalies, and provide insight and analysis into financial resultsComfort with complex calculations and excel files with the ability to understand and explain their purposeSelf starter who can work independentlyCommunication skills, ability to interact with all customers to ensure successful execution of the North America general accounting service catalogue. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plus
