Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team in the retail industry, located in El Segundo, California. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the financial reporting processes, managing accounting principles and practices, and ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Responsibilities: • Oversee the development and maintenance of accounting principles, practices and procedures • Ensure accurate and timely production of financial statements • Supervise a team of accountants to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines • Manage general ledger preparation and financial reporting tasks • Support year-end audit preparation activities • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities • Ensure adherence to accounting functions and practices • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities • Perform auditing and billing functions • Maintain general journal and ledger, and process journal entries • Conduct bank reconciliations • Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools • Manage operations with Concur software. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role in the retail industry • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Concur • Demonstrated experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions • Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in auditing and billing functions • Ability to handle General Journal and General Ledger tasks • Familiarity with Journal Entry and Bank Reconciliations • Proven skills in budgeting and forecasting • Candidates must possess excellent communication and leadership skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field is required • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines • Capable of working independently and as part of a team For confidential consideration, please apply directly with your resume or call Allysa Bayly at (310) 719-1400.
