Accounting Manager

Position Purpose 

Reporting to the Finance Director, the role leads the accounting team and is responsible for all the accounting processes and duties. The primary focus will be supporting the business in improving accounting information and processes, reporting to corporate and local authorities.

 

Key Accounting/Responsibilities 

•Technical and disciplinary responsibility for finance and accounting with a team of approx. 8 employees •Responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, according to IFRS and local accounting, including the group reporting to our headquarter •Ensuring and developing internal and group-wide audit and compliance guidelines •Manages statutory reporting processes, follwoing the guideliebes defined by Global & Region •Ensures Accounting Compliance and correct aplication of Accounting Standards across the Country, following the guidelines defined by Global & Region •Ensures full compliance in the country with Law 262 •Implements procedures for accounts payable, accounts recievable, fixed assets, cash and banks, financial closing and other general accounting processes ar Country level •Responsibility for liquidity planning and control of working capital •Optimization, standardization as well as further development of accounting processes •Contact person for internal departments, auditors and tax consultants •Is familiar with tax technical topics and seeks opportunities for efficiencies according to full tax compliance, providing clear advice, full support and guidance on tax rules, principles, and guidelines. •Prepares/supervises monthly tax declarations such as VAT, withholding taxes, Mod. 30, Intrastat, COPE, Saft. •Helps to manage relations with revenue offices and tax audits by ensuring proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records.

 

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): 

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting role Degree in finance, accounting, or any other related field Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively communicate in a written and oral way. Accurate working-method as well as the ability to meet deadline. Extensive financial analytical skills, business acumen, good understanding of metrics/models/systems. Strong English skills. Plus: knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle Fusion ERP. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
