Summary: We are looking for a Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger function, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be highly organized, and have a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities: * Accounting Manager will manage and lead a team of general ledger accountants * Create/Allocate GL codes to invoices for the AP Team to process * Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts * Assist with monthly close activities including financial reporting and fluctuation analysis * Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy * Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies * As an Accounting Manager, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting * Manage and resolve complex accounting issues * Assist with annual financial audit and semi-annual bank audits * Produce schedules that are necessary for audits and taxes * Address tax and tax related issues (sales tax, property tax, assist with corporate and state tax filings) * Renew business licenses * Perform other accounting duties as assigned
