Job Description

Are you ready to take your accounting career to new heights? We’re on the lookout for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager!

What You’ll Do:

Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with our Director of Finance Americas to develop and maintain robust accounting controls, processes, and procedures.Play a key role in both long-term and short-term financial process and controls planning, helping to build the right foundation that will support the future of our organization.Comprehensive Accounting Management: Oversee all aspects of general accounting, cash application, and accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily operations of the accounting department accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash application by providing people leadership and guidance to staff accountantManages actual to budget payroll and headcount reconciliationsSupports monthly and yearly balance sheet and P&L forecastsOnboards, manages, and mentors staff on a continuous improvement mindsetExecutes, Reviews and approves monthly general ledger journal entriesReviews all general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completionMaintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements; approves cash disbursements and authorizes check and wire transfersMaintains asset registers and ensure use taxes are calculated and paid timelyMaintains accounting controls by monitoring, preparing, and recommending policies/procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesDevelops, implements, and improves accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending / driving improvementsLeads the annual internal and external audits by providing information and answers to auditors and managing all internal deliverables. Continuously improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations and ongoing training opportunitiesMonitors and analyzes accounting data and produces financial reports or statementsRecords, analyzes and plans financial information for Balance Sheet accounts, standard costing for products, and Cost Center allocations.Monthly closingLeads accounting team in monthly close for all P&L related analysis and requirementsReviews all submissions to corporate through the Vena reporting systemEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SupportActing as resource for our ERP system (IFS) needs that impact financial transactions and helps maintain all posting controlsDeveloping IFS reports to support regular and ad hoc reports and analysisWorking within finance team to maximize efficiency of IFSSupports the companies’ ERP systems, including new system implementations Resource for implementation of IFS for new entities that may be acquiredVena and other system supportReconcile IFS to Vena (or other systems’) data to ensure accurate reporting to corporate

Reports To:  Director of Finance Americas

Skills Required:

Expert level skill with Microsoft Office based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong analytical skills and ability to format data into meaningful financial outputsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and writtenProficient with ERP/CRM ToolsExperience with manufacturing companies preferredExcellent organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to implementation, support and documentation.Ability to explain complex financial data in clear, straightforward languageSound knowledge of US GAAP accountingMake independent decisions and solve more complex accounting problemsCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levelsOrganize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environmentExperience leading, managing, and training othersHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

6 years + accounting and finance experience4-Year business degreeMaster's degree in related field and/or CPA/CMA preferredExperience in financial planning and reportingExperience in data analysis and visualization
