Summer 2025 Intern Position
Session 1: May 28 - August 15
Session 2: June 17 - September 5
Intern must be able to work the entirety of one of the two sessions.

We are looking for an Accounting Intern to acquire experience and a working knowledge of various accounting and financial reporting rules and best practices. The candidate will develop their ability to analyze and interpret accounting guidance, manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, and produce professional and accurate work under time constraints.

Gain exposure to Sarbanes–Oxley ("SOX") documentation for accounting and other business units, learn best practice and assist in maintaining and updating a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and process documents Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end journal entries, execute the month-end close process and perform month-end reconciliations for general ledger accounts and month-end roll forward schedules Gain exposure to and assist in the preparation of financial reporting schedules to U.S. GAAP standards to populate U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") and Federal Regulator filings Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, federal regulators and internal auditors Improve efficiency through implementation of reports that minimize manual reporting processes and manual reconciliations, organization and coordination processes Protect the Bank from unauthorized expenditure – responsibility for key deliverable that has a direct impact on Bank results Protect the Bank from interrupted operations – ensure authorized vendors are paid timely so that key business functions run smoothly and vendor relationships are maintained Utilize optical character recognition technology to streamline invoice analysis and red-flag potential exceptions Inform and educate approvers on proper coding; interact with business units throughout the Bank and the Bank's vendors; service internal and vendor inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
