Gilbane's Accounting & Finance Development Program is a comprehensive 3-year rotational experience, designed to develop effective leadership qualities and Accounting capabilities through challenging and wide-ranging experiences, and global relationships. The program builds critical problem solving skills and strengthens business acumen.

 

Gilbane is seeking candidates for this program who demonstrate Gilbane's Core Values, self-motivation, and seek fast-paced professional development. Effective candidates are resourceful problem solvers who challenge themselves to find the most effective and efficient solutions to complex challenges. 

Responsibilities

This is an entry-level role responsible for various duties on a 3-year rotation through Gilbane's Accounting & Finance team. Assignments include both in Corporate Accounting and Project Accounting.

 

This position will be based in Providence, Rhode Island for a minimum 2 years, with an option for a one year field assignment. The position will begin in May 2023, or upon graduate availability.

 

Rotational areas include:

Treasury / Cash ManagementFinancial Planning & AnalysisCorporate Accounting/General LedgerProject AccountingBusiness Unit AccountingAccounts PayableTravel & Expense ReportingInsurance

Upon successful completion of the program, various full-time positions with the Accounting & Finance department will be offered. 

 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

BA/BS in Accounting or FinanceInternship or similar experience which supplements educational coursework.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong analytical and problem solving skills requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

For Rhode Island the pay ranges from $25.00 - $34.00 per hour plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program.
For Massachusetts the pay ranges from $29.00 - $38.50 per hour plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program.
For Connecticut the pay ranges from $25.00 - $34.00 per hour plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program.
