We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team and support crucial accounting functions that keep our operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Project Accountant with essential daily accounting activities. This role is crucial in managing full-cycle accounts payable, conducting monthly bank reconciliations for all business entities, and overseeing our corporate card program. Additionally, the Coordinator will handle invoicing responsibilities for our extensive sampling program, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Accounts Payable & Bank Reconciliation: Manage full-cycle accounts payable and perform monthly bank reconciliations for all entities to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
+ Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Responsible for reconciling and issuing bi-weekly invoices for specific programs, supporting timely and accurate billing.
+ Corporate Card Program Administration: Oversee the full lifecycle of the corporate card program, including card issuance, auditing usage, and ensuring alignment with company policies.
+ Cross-functional collaboration: Interact with internal managers across various departments, responding to information requests and supporting accounting-related needs.
Daily Tasks:
+ Process accounts payable transactions, administer corporate card program activities, and address internal requests efficiently.
+ Provide support on various accounting tasks as needed, contributing to the financial operations of the organization.
Core Competencies:
Hard Skills:
+ 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
+ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
+ Proficiency in accounting practices and familiarity with financial software systems.
Soft Skills:
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
+ Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
+ Demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
+ Financial Close: Meet financial closing dates in accordance with the financial calendar.
+ Timely Billing: Complete bi-weekly billing processes without delays.
+ AP Payment Efficiency: Ensure no late charges are incurred on accounts payable payments.
