Accounting Controls Sales Junior Clerk

SUMMARY: The Junior Sales Clerk is responsible for safeguarding KVAT Food Stores, Inc.’s assets by ensuring all records and monies are properly accounted for on daily/weekly basis. A person in this role must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to properly convey the findings of audits performed.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reconcile coinmax monies and postage stamps. Maintain responsibility for the reconciliation of all retail store petty cash.Maintain responsibility for the collection of change for Jack's Café along with daily balancing and collections of monies.Maintain responsibility for conducting department file rotations. Use store level POS “ECRS” as a means of store support.  Collect and distribute all mail to the appropriate persons within the department.Protect operations by ensuring company financial information remains confidential.  Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed. Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.Other duties, as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required with bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Must possess a valid and unrestricted U.S. Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the company’s insurance carrier standards. Proficient knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.Must possess strong analytical and technical skills as week as a demonstrated ability to strategize, prioritize and execute.Ability to utilize a computer with various systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and handle interruptions while maintaining flexibility with attention to detail. Strong organizational and time/project management skills.Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties.
