My client is seeking a skilled and qualified Accounting Clerk for our Calabasas Hills, CA office. We are a leading distributor in the Motorcycle and Powersports industry, offering top brands of helmets and riding gear. With locations across the U.S. and a growing sales team, we continue to expand and are looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to our success. Responsibilities:
* Perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, and credit card processing
* Maintain accurate documentation and records
* Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and vendors
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 and intermediate Excel skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus, but not required
Technical Accounting Skills:
* General ledger reconciliation
* Journal entries
Other Requirements:
* Ability to occasionally work overtime on weekdays, as needed
* Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk
