Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for a skilled Accounting Clerk in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This role is within the finance industry and involves key responsibilities such as maintaining financial reports and records, assisting with budget processes, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate maintenance of financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. • Assist in the preparation of journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes. • Contribute to the formulation and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections. • Ensure proper documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and banking operations, and conduct internal audits. • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations. • Meet processing and reporting deadlines consistently. • Respond promptly to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits. • Maintain and monitor all insurance certificates to verify their currency and validity. • Assist in processing payments related to construction damage deposits, impact fees, kayak slip rentals, and forbearance agreements. • Oversee the contractor renewal spreadsheet and provide spreadsheet reports for board of directors and committees. • Facilitate coupons for community members as needed, code and process invoices, and reconcile credit card and bank statements. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes is required • Knowledge in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary • Ability to manage Billing duties is expected • Strong Data Entry skills are a must • Experience in Invoice Processing is needed • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Familiarity with Oracle software is a plus • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred • Knowledge of SAP software is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
