Description We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist for a contract-to-hire position located in the Augusta, GA area. The ideal candidate will assist with processing invoices efficiently and accurately while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: + Process and manage invoices, ensuring proper approvals and accuracy. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of all accounts payable activities. + Review and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal departments. + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for invoice processing. + Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system. + Reconcile AP transactions and vendor statements to ensure accuracy. + Assist in preparing AP reports and analysis as needed. + Support month-end and year-end closings by providing relevant AP data. + Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues effectively. + Collaborate with team members to streamline AP workflows and improve processes. Requirements + Experience: At least 1–2 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience. + Skills: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or another ERP system), strong attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus. + Attributes: Excellent communication skills, ability to meet deadlines under pressure, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
