Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.Match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper approvals.Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.Maintain vendor files and manage vendor communications.Accounts Receivable (AR):Generate and send out invoices to clients.Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.Record and reconcile incoming payments.Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Payroll:Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports.Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes and other deductions.Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $33.65
