\n \n Job Description

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for working with accounts payable/receivable, coordinating various accounts for their companies, and other duties may include working with both customers and vendors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

\n


Duties include but are not limited to:

\n\nSort documents and post debits/credits to proper account.\nVerify amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy.\nBalance entries and make necessary corrections.\nMaintain and make necessary adjustments to records and/or logs such as journals, payroll/ time reports, or property records.\nVerify and reconcile simple bank statements or department records.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

\n\nAnalytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.\nPerform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.\nBasic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience\n
