Accounting Assistant
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in the services industry based in Plymouth, Minnesota. The role involves processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, maintaining customer credit records, and transitioning from QuickBooks to Business Central. You will be part of a dynamic team dealing with incoming mail and client payments, always keeping a sense of urgency in mind. Responsibilities: • Manage and process daily influx of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Maintain and update customer credit records in the system • Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions • Collaborate with the accounting manager and posting clerks to manage incoming mail • Assist in the transition from QuickBooks to Business Central by the end of the year • Support the cost audit part of the operation • Participate in the preparation of checks and invoices, mainly for legal entities such as sheriffs and process servers • Work closely with the accounts receivable team on client payments • Contribute to the team in maintaining a sense of urgency in their area of operation. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required • Experience with CaseWare is essential • Knowledge in using Concur is expected • Understanding and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must • Ability to handle all Accounting Functions is essential • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary • Prior experience in Auditing is a prerequisite • Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is needed Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
