Accounting Assistant
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support the finance and accounting team. As an integral part of the department, the Accounting Assistant will assist with daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. To apply, please call us at 808-531-8056. Abbreviated duties: + Primary responsibility sort mail, which includes high volume of cash receipts, deposits, credit card charges, support payroll and grants. + Grant experience not required, only provide support w/grant process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: + Ensuring timely and accurate deposits. + Processing ACH transactions and credit card payments + Work on procurement orders. + Review, obtain approvals, code, reconcile, and upload corporate credit card transactions into financial system. + Enter journal entries in financial system. + Perform general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and trust account reconciliations. + Support, perform, and assist with assigned tasks for payroll, operations, accounts payable. + Review charitable contributions and promotion/gift accounts for annual tax preparation. + Prepare journal entry to record proper amounts. + Provide support with grant process. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Education: + Associate degree from an accredited school of business or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Experience: + A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience. + Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred. Required skills, knowledge, and abilities: + Good command of English, both written and verbal. Strong and effective communication skills. + Ability to collaborate with representatives from all areas of the Company. + Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail. + Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. + Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices. + Develop and apply working knowledge of the chart of accounts and classification conventions of each entity.
