Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to manage accounts payable and ensure the timely and accurate processing of bills and payroll. The role involves performing account reconciliations, managing vendor relationships, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks software.
ResponsibilitiesManage accounts payable using QuickBooks and other programs.Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll while adhering to departmental procedures.Perform account reconciliations.Monitor inboxes for vendor invoices and establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.Perform standard 3-way match on invoices, verify terms of payment and charges.Enter invoices in QuickBooks.Communicate with vendors about accounts payable and credits.Prepare and update cost reports for billing purposes.Assist the company with other accounting and administrative duties as required.Essential SkillsThree years of Bookkeeping or Accounts Payable experience.Proficient in using QuickBooks Desktop, Online, or QuickBooks Enterprise.Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of Financial Reporting, Chart of Accounts, Profit and Loss.Operational use and adherence to GAAP.US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card Holder.Additional Skills & QualificationsThree years of previous experience with Job Cost Accounting.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field may be acceptable.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
