TheSales Use Tax Compliance Assistantpositionrequires a commitment to meet state-imposed deadlines which may at times require over-time. Must be able to balance multiple priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Open all tax notices enter them into tracking spreadsheet, gather backup, and research issues.Assist with assembling audit backup including calling customers for certificates, finding contracts, tracking down invoice copies.Handle new registrations and name/address changes on registrations, particularly around LGE acquisitions.Enter all returns that must be uploaded via the state websites whether its via upload or manual entry.Assist in Preparing indirect tax compliance including sales and use, excise, business, and other regulatory returns.Ability to work in a fast paced, team dynamic environmentOther duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics or equivalent experience0-3 years’ experience in accounting/tax roleProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Strong Verbal and Written communication skillsHighly Organized

Preferred:

Experience using Vertex O or Q or similar tax software Experience with Vertex Returns or similar tax softwareKnowledge of Vertex ECM or similar exemption certificate softwareExperience working with large volumes of data including the use of pivot tables and Vlookups
