Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing Project Accounting team in St. Paul, MN! Qualified candidates will be customer service oriented, have a strong work ethic, solid computer skills, the ability to multi-task and act in a professional manner.  This is an in-office role.



Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team setting and communicate effectively to achieve group goals. This individual would work closely with accounting team members to support full project lifecycle business functions. 

Support Project Accountants with business-related tasks for both internal and external client requestsPrepare and send monthly invoices that may require expense backup, timesheet detail, pay applications, or other client-specific invoicing requirementsPartner with Project Accountants to monitor and follow-up on unpaid invoices to collect accounts receivable balancesWork closely with accounting team members to support full project lifecycle business functionsMonitor and collect accounts receivable by working directly with clientsEvaluate incoming payments to ensure proper cash applicationProcess accounts payable, overhead invoices, check requests, and respond to vendor inquiriesData entry directly into internal and external accounting systemsReview client contracts to ensure accurate project setupElectronic contract and document managementAssist with other general accounting support functions as required Qualifications Associates Degree or High School Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experienceProficiency in Microsoft OfficeWork individually and within a team environmentManage time and stress levels efficiently and professionally Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to multi-task and work in deadline driven environmentKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresProficiency in Excel and accounting softwareDeltek Costpoint Accounting Software or a similar program  Why Kimley-Horn?
