Primary Purpose of Job

Responsible for management and oversight of daily Accounting operations; analyze and prepare monthly financial statements and annual audit work papers.

 

RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.3-5 years’ experience in a similar position; Health care/Non-profit experience preferred.Must be proficient in computerized spreadsheets and databases.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Substantial reasoning skills required including the ability to identify the problem, interpret data, draw conclusions and pose a resolution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have strong analytical skills and be able to work independently.

 

Essential Functions

Responsible for analysis of general ledger activity, and journal entries, where needed.Review Foundation reconciliation and reconciliation of Community Trust activity.Responsible for oversight of fixed asset/plant accounting processes.Responsible for oversight of the Grants Accounting processResponsible to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly financial statementsPrepare monthly Statement of Financial Position and financial ratios analysis. Periodic review of payroll and related entries in the general ledger. Responsible for the update of projected cash flows to actual.Prepare and submit tax exempt forms for real estate owned by ACLD.Periodic update of property analysis book.Prepare and review of CFR schedules, as needed.Responsible for reviewing all monthly and annual accruals.  Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationshipsAssess current practices and procedures; make recommendations for improvements and implement where appropriate Communicate with outside auditors and other regulatory officials, as needed. Other duties, as assigned.
