Job Summary

As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting procedures, including but not limited to month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial analysis. This position's starting wage is $24.

Essential Functions Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members. Preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts including bank account reconciliations. Prepare closing general ledger entries. Assist in preparation and transmission of the daily, weekly and monthly tax remittance information. Assist in preparation of Illinois Gaming Board Reports. Assist independent auditors, Illinois Gaming Board Auditors and Internal Auditor as required. Ensures the department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures All other duties assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field Two to three years prior financial experience Strong computer skills including extensive spreadsheet knowledge Excellent customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Casino and Oracle experience preferred Physical Requirements Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations Respond to visual and aural cues Read, write, speak and understand English Able to work flexible shifts Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations Environmental Working Conditions
