Looking for an initiative-taking individual for the Accounts Receivable department. In this Accountant III role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Global Gaming accounting function with specific involvement in revenue recognition and management of accounting for account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with SOX control and documentation requirements, supports SOX process improvements initiatives, and assists with the monthly close and reporting process. This role also prepares monthly journal entries in line with technical US GAAP and IFRS accounting pronouncements and updates and performs key control activities identified for Accrual cycles including retention of control support. In addition, the role requires an understanding of the operations of an Accounts Receivable department, the ability to follow established processes and document flows. The role requires the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment working closely with various internal and external business partners. Reports to Accounting Manager.  Successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions: 
 

Assist and conduct trainings to internal employees in the use of Accounts Receivable functionalities in SAP, DTS, and other Accounts Receivable related software used for billing. Support Accounting Month End Close Process by ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Proactively track multiple issues and identify problems before they occur.   Take action to prevent problems early in the process while managing changing priorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Collections, and IT teams) and contributing to specialized reports for broad-based audiences, demonstrating proficiency in SAP and Excel Successfully remove obstacles and support the team to continuously improve Accounts Receivable processes. Ensure compliance with Internal and SOX controls Ensure compliance to global policies, tax, legal and statutory requirements. Provide data and necessary details for internal & external audit to ensure timely closure of the audit. Prepare, review, and update procedures to avoid reoccurring issues and to mitigate risk. Excellent team spirit and able to dedicate the time and effort necessary to achieve results. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects as per management’s request. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or other related experience 2-5 years accounting or related experience, Accounts Receivable experience a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced PC skills with emphasis on Excel and Microsoft Office applications Individual must be detail-oriented but able to communicate with all levels of the organization, have good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and must be a team player. At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,177/yr - $156,700/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
