What you will be doing 

The Accounts Payable Expense Department, located at the National Accounting Service Center, has an opening for an Accountant I. 

The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.  

 

Main responsibilities 

Analyze Accounts Payable processing procedures and make recommendations for best practices and efficiency.  Maintain reconciliations of subsidiary details to ledger accounts, including high risk accounts.  Train and assist associates in specific tasks and use of systems.  Review team journal entries and invoice payments for accuracy.  Work on special projects assigned by management.  

What we are searching for 

Ability to coordinate and direct workflow within the department.  Good organizational and analytical skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.  Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of databases, Windows and Microsoft Office products.  High degree of initiative, accuracy, and adaptability.  Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.  Ability to meet rigid time constraints.  Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting the strongest business ethics.  Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills.  Independent decision maker. 

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience: 

Four-year business degree required (preferably Accounting).  Experience in high volume processing/accounting environment.  Experience working in Oracle Accounts Payable module.
